A new beach in Funchal.
After destroyed a natural beach near the town pier for the construction of the Praça do Povo (People's Square), a new marina and a new berth, made this artificial beach called Almirante Reis, because it is located in an area with this designation.

Uma nova praia na cidade do Funchal.
Depois de destruída uma praia natural junto ao cais da cidade para a construção da Praça do Povo, uma nova marina e um novo cais de acostagem, fizeram esta praia artificial chamada Almirante Reis, porque ficar situada numa zona com essa designação.
