Esta quinta está abandonada, como, aliás, se advinha rapidamente ao olhar para a casa e para os arredores. Se não é abandonada no sentido literal da palavra direi então que se encontra menos cuidada.
Tem uma localização privilegiada numa área de terreno no alto entre a Estrada de São João, em baixo, e a Rua São João Velez Caroço, na parte superior, na qual ainda se conseguem ver alguns automóveis.

A "quinta" (like a farm) in Monte that burned in a large fire. The Monte sits high atop the city of Funchal and there are many important quintas in the capital of Madeira. Formerly, who had more money and resided in the city center, they was vacationing in this location with a magnificent view of the city.
