Atlantic Festival, 2010 last day
On the fourth saturday in June, the Madeira Firework Festival, in Atlantic Festival, ends with Pyromusical show with the theme “Enchantments”. It was on the water in Funchal port, by the company Macedos Pirotecnia, Lda.
Ao quarto sábado de Junho o Festival de Pirotecnia da Madeira, integrado no Festival do Atlântico, terminou com mais show piromusical com o tema "Encantos". Aconteceu à entrada do Porto do Funchal, e foi realizado pela empresa Macedos Pirotecnia, Lda.
John Paul II in Funchal
Esta foto já tem uns anos. Tirei em 1991 quando o Papa João Paulo II fez uma visita oficial à Madeira em Maio. Foi obtida na Sé do Funchal e só há dias passei dos diapositivos para o formato digital. E, pela importância que encontro na foto, no seu simbolismo, e na benção que o Santo padre faz decidi partilhar consigo.
Quinta das Vistas
It is without doubt one of the hotels in Funchal that offers the best view of the city. Built in the grounds of an old farmhouse is now a modern and refinement. The name says it all: Quinta das Vistas (farmhouse of the sights).
É sem dúvida um dos hotéis da cidade do Funchal que melhor vista proporciona sobre a cidade. Construído nos terrenos de uma antiga quinta é hoje uma unidade moderna e de requinte. O nome diz tudo: Quinta das vistas.
