window of the cathedral

One of the windows of the cathedral of Funchal, the oldest most monument of the island. Construction began in the late fifteenth year of the discovery of Madeira by the Portuguese and continued by the beginning of the next century. Over the years have been remodeled. I could say that is a magnificent monument, but as I am not "painter". I say that has its own architecture, and undoubtedly value.

  4. Hi Paulo,

Yes Goa is so much a part of the Portuguese Culture. We have people here who speak Portuguese even today. There is a whole lot of Portuguese architecture which is dotting Goa at various places. But unfortunate that it is slowly being replaced by the modern constructions.

You have a nice blog and I am gonna follow it for a long time to come..Thanks
