the train




































A historic building from the city center, there are several panels of mosaics with these colors, blue and white, which portray the experiences of other times on the island of Madeira.
In this case, refers to the train, traveling between the lower par of the city and high on Monte e Terreiro da Luta, during the first half of the twentieth century. A number of accidents due to the characteristics of the line, very steep, together with the second world war dictated his removal. Today, the train It are in the name of the whole route: Rua do Comboio.
At right is yet another transport, this very typical, and is still in full swing, with the transport of tourists on the Monte to a lower zone of the city.

Num edifício histórico do centro da cidade, existem vários painéis de mosaicos com estas cores, azuis e brancas, que retratam vivências de outros tempos na ilha da Madeira. Neste caso concreto, refere-se ao comboio, que viajava todos os dias entre a parte baixa e a alta, no Monte e Terreiro da Luta, durante a primeira metade do século XX. Alguns acidentes, devido às características da linha, muito íngreme, aliado à segunda guerra mundial ditaram o seu afastamento. Ficou o nome a todo percurso: Rua do Comboio.
À direita pode ver-se ainda um outro transporte, este muito típico, e que ainda está em plena actividade, com o transporte de turistas do Monte para uma zona mais baixa da cidade.
