Não é comum cair neve na Madeira. Mas isso está a acontecer desde ontem, conforme se pode ver desde a cidade do Funchal. Por isso, também está mais frio, o que também não acontece com frequência nesta terra de sol e tranquilidade.
It is unusual for snow to fall in Madeira. But this is happening since yesterday, as can be seen from the city of Funchal. It is also colder, which does not happen often in this land of sun and tranquility.

O Picton Castle é um veleiro de três mastros com sede em Lunenburg, Nova Escócia, Canadá, e é mais conhecido pelas suas viagens de treino de vela e de aventura ao redor do mundo.
O navio completou a sua sexta viagem de circum-navegação e está de regresso a casa.

Later, the other day, I returned to port for another reason, as I often do, and searched the result of that painting that the young man was doing so carefully. And these two occasions that are documented in these two photographs.
The Picton Castle is a three-masted tall ship based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada but best known for its adventurous sail training voyages around the world.
The ship just completed her sixth world circumnavigation voyage this spring and is currently on a Transatlantic Voyage.
No previous sailing experience is necessary, just a strong back and willing heart.
